Another John Carpenter movie (there will be more!) A perfect portrayal of how Gen X was raised 😏. Send my kid off to listen to stories about corpses rotting on the bottom of the ocean after a tragic shipwreck… Sure. Leave them to play on the rocky coast without supervision… perfect. Scream at random strangers over the radio waves to save your child while you are busy working… Sound just right!

I love this movie! Adrienne Barbeau was who I wanted to be when I grew up (Stevie’s questionable parenting aside 😉) is great as the lead of a stellar cast (Janet Leigh, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Atkins, Hal Holbrook, Nancy Loomis, and John Houseman!).

Plus this movie leaves us with one of the biggest mysteries of cinema… what is a “Stomach Pounder”🤔?
