Usually my Halloween is spent watching the old John Carpenter Halloween movies, but I wanted to end 31 in 31 with my favorite movie. Nothing is scarier than uncertainty… Is this a haunted house or is our perception/mental illness/fear really what we are dealing with. I love the book by Shirley Jackson , and the series by Mike Flanagan. The 1999 version was terrible, but I’m tempted to watch it again sometime. Just because I like all of the actors involved. Maybe I can claim back a little from the terrible CGI and weird scripting choices.
